JAPANESE BRAND TRUCK IN CHINA
CHINA old drivers are of special feeling on Japanese brand truck, 20-30 years ago, Japanese brand truck were running everywhere in China at that time. Isuze, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Hino, Mazda, FUSO,UD, FTR, etc. And many China turck factory are also cooperating with Japanase factory in varous field. Fox example, now engine 4JB1 etc which are originaly from Japanese are now compeletly made in China.
Yet now, Japanese truck are suffering great compete with China brand truck. Their major problems is their high price while still maintaining low product updating speed and low configuration. Though Japanese truck economize in oil&gasoline, but hard to resist attack from China truck, whick are of rick configuration and huge figure
Does Japanese truck still have opportunity in China market? Of course to special driver's group who are fond of reliability and fuel exhausts. Yet interior trim and small space is trully shortcoming of Japanese truck.
How can Japanese truck improving their situation in China? They have to work faster to overcome their shortcomings, that's the way out.
